My professional background provides an exceptional level of experience brings the highest degree of expertise with practical applications in diverse fields of advanced optics and design, optical and holographic interferometry and nondestructive structural and vibration analysis and applications, digital imaging and machine vision, medical and microscopic imaging, laser development and applications, optical testing, metrology, and radiation measurement. Through this work, I have a demonstrated track record of providing innovative, practical solutions to technical problems founded in an extremely strong and intuitive background in optics, laser, electro-optics, fiber optics technology, and optical design and analysis which has resulted in over 50 technical articles, invited papers, book chapters, and presentations as well as over 25 patents and cop-patents in Optical design, Medical and LIDAR Optics, digital imaging, machine vision, and optical metrology.

This diverse range of experiences has provided me the expertise and technical knowledge necessary to successfully compete this research project. Through my current and previous positions, I have served as PI, Co-Pi, and Chief Designer for numbers multi-million dollar research and production programs that have been supported by DARPA, ONR, NRL, and AFRL, where my teams have routinely one of, if not the only, awardees provide deliverables on schedule and on budget.
